BRL was commissioned to provide architectural services for the development of a replacement residential dwelling at an existing detached property, located in Ebford. The project involves the demolition of the current two-storey house and the construction of a luxurious, modern residence with five to six bedrooms, expansive open-plan living and kitchen areas, a separate reception room, a cinema room, and an impressive double-height entrance foyer with a processional staircase. A key feature of the design will be an indoor swimming pool, along with associated sanitary, utility, and leisure spaces.
Additionally, the plans include a self-contained annexe and a focus on maximising the breathtaking views towards the River Clyst and Estuary. The new home will also be designed to enhance its external spaces, incorporating a large pond and formal seating areas to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
Throughout the design process, a collaborative approach with the client has been essential to ensure that the dwelling accommodates the specific needs and desires of the end user, while responding sensitively to the site’s unique conditions.
