We were approached by The Rainforest Company to provide a concept design for their new head office space in Zurich. As a company shaping the future of the food industry with sustainable açaí products, The Rainforest Company is committed to creating products that benefit both the health of consumers and the planet. Their vision is to demonstrate that sustainable sourcing and production can be both profitable and eco-friendly, with offerings ranging from frozen açaí purée to natural skincare, all of which are vegan, organic, and CO2 neutral.
Inspired by The Rainforest Company's strong ethos and values, our office design concept transports employees into a tranquil, nature-infused space, echoing the lush environment of the Amazon rainforest. Drawing on biophilic design principles and a focus on well-being, the concept incorporates natural and sustainable materials, living plants, and a colour palette influenced by the rich diversity of tropical rainforests. This creates a workspace that not only reduces stress but also fosters well-being and productivity, with nature at the heart of the design.
The office layout offers individual desks, thoughtfully designed with natural privacy screens created by living plants and natural stone pebbles. In addition to the main workspace, the concept includes a meeting room, a curved desk area, and a dedicated relaxation space, providing employees with a calm retreat. The communal kitchen, complete with a seating area, promotes a sense of community, while the store and print room offer practical functionality.
This office design is more than just a workspace—it’s an escape into nature, providing a balanced environment that nurtures creativity, well-being, and collaboration.
